Hitti Endowed Chair in Middle Eastern Studies. We seek a distinguished and collegial scholar with a demonstrated commitment to high-level research relevant to the politics of the Middle East region; a sustained record of teaching and service at an internationally recognized institutions; and an established record of public and student engagement. A Research Assistant (f/m/d) in Islamic Studies

You will conduct your own research project and at the same time take on an active role in the diverse tasks of the institute. You should be able to raise additional funds. The successful candidate will contribute to the development of Islamic Studies at the OIB through methodologically innovative and historically sound approaches. We currently want to supplement our existing strengths in Islamic law, Islamic art history, and Koranic and Hadith studies with a further focus. We also plan to expand our branch office in Cairo.
